Golden Unicorn Awards 2016
The inaugural ceremony — hand-blown glass unicorns awarded to the best of Russian and Russian-themed cinema.
The first Golden Unicorn Awards were presented on 3 December 2016, closing the inaugural Russian Film Week. The ceremony introduced the awards' signature trophy — a hand-blown glass unicorn — presented across categories spanning features, documentaries and short films.
The inaugural edition set the template the awards would follow for five editions: a black-tie London evening bringing together filmmakers, actors, jurors and industry guests.
